Where the Hell is Matt?
Wednesday, June 25th, 2008I saw this video the other day and thought it was somewhat touching. According to Wikipedia, Matt Harding is a former video game developer who decided to quit his job and travel the world making viral videos of him dancing in each location. Eventually he picked up some sponsorship, and was able to subsidize his endeavor.

Grammy Montage
Tuesday, April 1st, 2008A few people have asked me about it, so I thought I would just post the montage. Here is a compilation of our trip to the Grammy’s in 2007. The music is ours as well.
A New Year Is Upon Us
Tuesday, January 1st, 2008Another year has past, and with any luck this year should be as eventful as the last. We are in the height of Ski Season here, and I have already gone twice. The mountains are snowcapped and beautiful. Winter is much less depressing when you have mountains and snow sports. I went home for the holidays and saw my family and friends. It was refreshing to see them all. Now it is back to the grind.

6 Month Status
Thursday, October 11th, 2007I have been in Salt Lake for 6 months now, and I am finally beginning to become familiar with the area. I have met some cool people and really enjoy it here. Ski season approaches, and I can’t wait. It has already snowed in the mountains several times.
To follow up my last post, I am already receiving hits from people searching for Snowbird’s Octoberfest. Not too much else to report. I recently launched our new site www.mqrx.com. Check it out if you get a chance.
Just Another Saturday Night
Monday, August 20th, 2007I am pleased to present a somewhat boring video of my Saturday night activities from a couple weeks ago. At least I had fun with the music.
Food Poisoning
Friday, August 10th, 2007Last week was a ton of fun. I went to Octoberfest at Snowbird Ski Resort, ate some Octoberfest food and immediately started feeling funny. It took a few hours for the pathogen in the food to fully develop, but once it did, there was no stopping the explosive vomiting. It was terrible. No one likes being nauseous, but this was beyond extreme. I couldn’t keep a single fluid down, and could tell I was becoming dehydrated. I continued to drink as much water as I could, fully knowing I would see it again soon. After spending much of the evening between a bucket and the toilet, I showed no signs of improvement. By 11pm, I was barely able to stand, and my body was starting to cramp all over. Breathing was becoming difficult, as I had pulled muscles in my abdomen and back at some point during the profuse vomiting. My condition was worsening beyond control.
My roommate took me to the hospital as I struggled to stay conscious. Breathing had become so painful that I could only take short, shallow breaths. I was administered an IV, and waited nervously for the medication to take effect. It took a ton of saline, a ton of pain medicine, and a ton of anti nausea medicine to stabilize my condition. I was there until about 1:15am. After that I was still not quite right for another 3 days, although the vomiting had ceased.
I called Snowbird, and they denied any liability in the matter. All indicators pointed to the food I ate there though. I felt fine prior to arriving, ate there, and immediately felt strange. I did not eat a bite of food before or after either. Hopefully this blog will hit the search engines and get their attention. Time will tell.
